I have a Honda Civic so its not roomy. I wanted a vac that was affordable for my car and didn't really think ahead on the size and shape of this vac... so now I know that its not perfect FOR ME. I would like to keep it in my car instead of my trunk but its just too big for my car. Its powerful and has many wonderful attachments. Its easy to dump/clean. Its almost just like a mini shop-vac for your car, so if you are into that its great and the price can't be beat!

I just bought this and used it for spring cleaning my car. I was surprised that it did not over heat and turn off for the amount of time I had it running. It feels very flimsy because it is so light weight and it is definitely a manual process to attach the hose - have to make sure it is really pushed into the opening. But once it is connected the suction is great! The 'tools' leave much to be desired. I expect that in the attempt to make it so everything fits inside the barrel of the vacuum for storage they skimped on the length of the attachments. It would have been easier to vacuum some parts of the car with a longer crevice tool. The brush attachment does not stay connected when any pressure is used while vaccuumomg, which is a shame because when I held it in place it worked great to grab hair from the seats and floor. I will probably find a way to tape it onto the plastic connector so that it is more useful! I even used the blowing process to reach under the seat to make sure I pushed all the leaves out to the open. I like that there is a cloth filter for the air coming out.
The entire product is so light weight and the cord is quite long so it was easy to use the vacuum through out the car. I will take this anytime over feeding quarters to the vacuums at the car washers. This was so much easier to use than those and so convenient. I have a ford focus and will have no trouble keeping it in my hatchback - it's like the size of a basketball.
I hope it lasts me a long time. With a dog sharing my car and frequent road trips it will come in quite handy.

Work fine.Good tools,but no plce to put them.Other the it's size. The unit is worth the money.

So, this product blows, not sucks if you get my drift. I bought this for use on my boat because of the 12v plug but quickly found out this thing is completely useless.
I should of took heed of the other reviewers comments and stayed away but, I foolishly assumed it couldn't possibly be that bad. Surprise, it is!
Not only is it a crappy vacuum but, I thought the motor was going to catch on fire trying to blow up our lounge rafts. If I was to race this vacuum in an inner-tube-blowing-up contest I'm sure I could win.
Any companies out there who who think they can make a 12v vacuum that actually works give me a call. Dyson, are you listening?
Seriously though, don't buy this.

This thing works extremely well. I have not tried to blow up a raft, but it does an excellent job at getting dirt out of my car! It does start to smell hot quicker than expected, but my car isn't that large!
