5Portable, fast source for compressed air.  Dec 10, 2009
By Patrick V. Humphries
I have an Airstream trailer in storage and the tires were a bit low. Foot pumps were tried to keep the pressure up, but they were useless. This pump, with its start-up at 120psi and shut-off at 145psi is just like having a compressed air tank. The hose is long enough to reach both sides of a 30' trailer without relocating the compressor. The valve clamp is metal and connects securely. The gauge and hand control are easy to read and operate. It was so fast taking the air pressure from 15psi to the 60psi that it was almost embarrassing. The process of filling four tires, including cool-down, was only 15 minutes.

5impressive portable compressor  Oct 16, 2009
By R. Windsor
I use this compressor everytime I go camping. Last weekend I aired up 2 air bags on my pickup and notice both rear tires where down about 10 psi. This compressor did both tires and both air bags in about 5 minutes and compressor was barely warm. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.

5Best little portable 12v compressor out there  Aug 31, 2009
By John Russo
I purchased this product a couple of weeks ago to "air-up" the tires on my FJ Curiser after wheeling on the beach. I have tried other units over the past 20 years or so and they never really did the job, but this one performed better than I could have hoped. I was able to "air-up" all 4 tires from 18lbs to 35lbs in about 15 minutes.

I was very pleased with the quick connect inflation hose, with tire inflation gun and the rubber over mold pressure gauge. They all worked very well and easy to monitor prersure while filling. The compressor itself appreas to be very well made and heavy duty and very easy to set up, use and put away - the hardest part was opening the hood of my truck to get to the battery.

I highly recomend this product and the seller, Central 4 Wheel Drive. The item shipped fast and was packed up very well.

5So far so good..  Jan 05, 2011
By Steve P.
We live for months at a time on the road and prefer to park our toy hauler in remote locations. We've become religious about checking our air pressure each day before driving. Lesser units just aren't up to the job, and you can't count on finding a filling station with a working compressor any more.

I needed a unit that I could count on. After waiting for other 20% duty-cycle compressors, a key component in the decision became a 100% duty-cycle. This baby is up to the challenge. It has no problem bringing my 80 and 90 PSI tires to pressure and it's faster than the unit at the station nearest my house. The spiffy case keeps it tidy for travel and it's light enough for my wife to lug it around if she needs to.

The only negative for me is that the standard 25' hose isn't quite long enough to reach the rear axle on my trailer while hitched.

We struggled with the price tag, but I'd make the same choice again. My biggest regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. With the money I've shelled out for other units that have since found their way into the landfill, I'd probably have come out even by now.

5Best 12 volt compressor out there  Oct 15, 2010
By P. Shockley
I haven't had this but about two weeks but in that time I have had zero issues. It inflates everything very quickly and is very quiet. The dial gauge is very easy to read. If you don't inflate tires, especially large tires much then I would recommend getting a smaller version. I tested it on one of my truck tires from 0-30 PSI and it took under 5 minutes where as with my standard 12v compressor it took 20min and made lots of noise. I will update if anything changes.
