inaccurate ring sizer Oct 05, 2010
By Silverk

I ordered this for my jewelry smithing needs. The price and quality seemed good from the picture and description so I gave it a shot. However when I received it and tested the sizes against a accurate ring mandrel, many of the sizes we noticeably off by around a quarter to a half size off. Each number size has three variations, a plan number, a -, and a =. But even with all three, I couldn't find an accurate size for some sizes. Also I believe the size variations on these are nontraditional, typically the "-" represents a half size, so like 7- would be 7 and a half.
I ended up returning this and was very pleased with the ease and quickness of the return.
So, if you don't mind having the sizes being off by a half size or so, it'd be ok getting this. However, I'd definitely wouldn't call these professional. I bought a different one after my return from a jewelry resource store and they were perfectly accurate.

NOW I CAN SHOP ONLINE FOR RINGS! May 18, 2008

Great quality ring size finder. The 36 rings display on one side on top USA size and bellow the diameter in mm; on the reverse side you find the circumference in mm on top an the equivalent in japanese size. I bought it because I love rings and this is an excelent tool for those like me that shop online. Delicate rings require a smaller sizes than wide banded ones, left hand usually requires smaller sizes than the right one and so forth. Love it!

pretty good. Jan 20, 2008
By wantu2nowhoiam nothing but good, except for the fact that the sizes are written weird. i had to find a site with a list of sizes and their equivalencies in inches and centimeters to figure out which size was which.

Correct size. Jul 28, 2011
By Alex Cox What can I say? This thing sizes fingers appropriately, and seems to have several different scales which might be of use to people. The only thing that I don't understand is that for standard US ring sizes, it has whole and half sizes, and also 3/4 sizes - but no 1/4 sizes. Is that a normal thing? Anyway, it's not really a big deal at such a fine granularity, but I thought it was curious. If you ever need to figure out your ring size, I'd definitely recommend this set over those print-and-wrap paper sizers or cheap plastic sizers. Definitely feels like it'll last a lifetime.

Good quality Mar 13, 2010
By B. Ferm This ring sizer is of nice quality and certainly sturdy enough for home use. Some other reviewers have said the size numbers are hard to read. Well, yes, they are small because the space is small, but c'mon, guys, I'm legally blind, and I can read them in good light.
