A cheap toner that works Feb 15, 2007
By Z. Meng HP asked me $70 to replace my toner so I ordered this one. It worked well for a few days before I noticed some uneven grayness at the center of the page. I shaked the toner again and the problem disappeared.

Mediocre experience Sep 07, 2009
By Elton Lum I went with this toner cartridge based on the great reviews. However, maybe it was just a unique incident, but the toner cartridge I received did not have a solid working drum. It could print out a solid black page fine, but normal text came out uneven. And yes, I shook the toner cartridge plenty of times to spread the toner. The toner looks to be fine. I ended up having to transfer the toner back to the original HP cartridge and I'm back in action. I did not contact customer support since I could not afford to be without a working printer for more than a day.

Same Performance for a Third the Price Sep 23, 2007

HP charges about three times more for a new cartridge of this type. I have now gone through 3 of these cartridges with my LaserJet 1018, and I have had no problems. The cartridges last about 2,000 pages each, so the price-per-page is only a little over 1 cent (as opposed to 3 cents per page if you buy the official cartridges from HP). I also buy my paper by the case from Staples, so my total price-per-page of printing is about 2.5 cents. Very good deal, considering that I used to pay over 10 cents per page with an HP inkjet printer and official ink/paper supplies.

Laserjet does its job Feb 10, 2006
By Herschel Greenberg This toner cartridge is for the HP 1012 (and others). As fas as toner goes, this one lasts a long time. I use it often and for heavy duty printing, including resumes on resume paper, term papers for school on high quality laser paper, and websites, which usually contain images that come out in black and white, using up more toner. I would say that the toner gave me just about 2,500 sheets, and it is just now fading. When you balance the price of this printer with the price for toner every 2,500 sheets, it is a very good deal (less than 3 cents a page when calculating just the toner). My printer does not make any noise with this toner! If you have this printer, then you wont be sorry when using this toner replacement.

This thing lasts! Jul 19, 2009
By D. Kwanda I bought this cartridge in November 2008. It's now July 2009. I'm a very heavy printer; I have already surpassed the advertised 2,000 pages as I have done more than 5 reams of 500pg printing paper to date.
What I have noticed is that this cartridge prints dark, but appears to print with the same intensity as you would get with the HP cartridge set on economy mode. This is fine; I used to set my HP on economy mode anyway since it used to spit toner on normal mode. But if you set this on economy mode and print you get a very light print, almost looking like scratches on the paper.
What I love is that I have not gotten the annoying light black vertical line that appears on the left or right of the paper when the cartridge ages. By this time my original HP cartridges begin to print this line, and that's when I know it's time to change over. Also my printer has very little toner residue inside since I put this baby in. Highly recommended.
