This little thing is awesome. Oct 28, 2010
By Ethan This thing is more like a little sword. It's light enough that you can swing it all day without getting tired. I've read some came dull. Mine came sharp as heck. I took it out and hammered on some tree limbs with it to test the durability and not a ding on the edge. The handle is a little chinsy and was loose but is fine now that I tightened it. The tang of the blade goes all the way to the bottom of the handle and pretty minimal sideways flex on the blade. Im happy with it.

You get what you pay for, yet not to bad. Mar 06, 2010
By Ken R. Townsend First of all, there is nothing Colossal about this guy. I read the specs before I bought it, but still thought it would be bigger. The thing reminds me more of a Katana or Scimatar than anything. And it came dull as all hell. That being said, after I put an edge on it it's not bad. I actualy like the size now given it's shape. it will be good for back packing. It will not replace my favorate proven machete by any means, but it is not bad at all. For only 15 bucks, you could do a lot worse.

Crocodile Dundee backpack. Jun 27, 2010

Collosal it is not. But otherwise just right for chopping green stalks like thistle in hard to reach places under the eaves and deck steps. Blackthorn twigs need another tackle, not involving chopping.
Stainless steel is an advantage. So far I have not rehoned the edge, seems all right. The funny offset at the back tip of the blade must be there for a reason I am curious about.
Total weight of 1.25 lbs makes it a perfect backpack for Crocodile Dundee.
The tip of the sheath tucks neatly under the belt back to prevent slapping on the run and will not drown a swimming person. That is the survival part.

item came on time and is just as expected. one thing it could have came with is syrap to keep a hold on it on your wrist. I just sliced my leg open and have 25 stitches. The blade is very sharp!

Very nice Jan 21, 2011
By Bray The product came in 2 boxes, and with a plastic sheathe over it. It was in good condition, but I did have to sharpen the blade substantially when I received it. Overall, a good knife.
