Universal Step Bumper Hitch Class III - Designed for flat plate step bumpers and bolts to bottom of pickup truck bumper. Class III accepts 2" ball mounts, hitch pin, clip included and all mounting hardware included. Up to 500 lbs gross tongue weight with 5,000 lbs gross trailer weight.

Simple, easy to install, versatile Oct 05, 2011

I installed this on my 1985 Toyota FJ60. It came with a set of shims which made it very easy to bolt to my bumper and frame. Depending on the stiffness of the frame members you bolt this to, you might experience more up/down twisting/flexing when using it with something that applies a lot of torque, like the 5-bike hitch carrier I use. For this reason I may end up welding some additional tube stock to the frame. What I like about this is it is quick and simple.
