Good backyard speakers Aug 23, 2010 Good speakers for the non-techi music lover. We wanted speakers to enjoy music outside. This system looks sleek and sounds good. I was a bit skeptical after reading a few negative reviews but decided to give them a try for my husbands birthday. For the price you are paying, they work great. Good sound and no interference. To those out there with negative feedback, wanting Stereo sound I think you need to expect to pay at least another $500. These speakers are not for you. For those of us who just want to listen to music on the patio while barbecuing or working in the yard and don't want to break the bank with a fancy sound system and complicated wiring . . . These are great!
Didn't work out for us. Aug 23, 2010 Works great when they are not squelching or cracking with interference. Like another reviewer said, it's not a little background static or interference, it is loud painful, disturbing squelching. Maybe we have too much wireless stuff operating around here (Internet, garage doors, mouse, keyboard, alarm system, phones). Who knows, but i can't get it to operate cleanly.
Haven't been able to try it in a location with no other wireless disturbance, but overall they're not working out for my intended purpose.
Good for its price Aug 18, 2010 This is probably one of the best wireless outdoor speakers you can find.
You get decent sound quality and you can move the speakers anywhere.
Expect occasional interference as its RF. you may have to reposition the speakers now and then.
I put them in the kitchen, next to the bath tub etc.
And they are waterproof too.
Only gripe is that you have to open the battery cover to connect or disconnect the DC power wire of the speakers.
The adaptor for the transmitter provided only supports 120v input, with 12v output, with small power input jack (smaller than 2.5 and 2.1mm jack) so thats gonna be a problem as its gonna be hard to find an adaptor like that if you live somewhere with 240ac supply. probably need to buy a transformer with variable voltage and changeable jack size.
the adaptor for the speakers accept 120 - 240v so thats okay.
the transmitter only accepts power via dc so its not portable, you need a power source. unless you get one extra on amazon that allows power from AA batteries (only black), or buy the set from their website instead of amazon which includes the AA battery transmitter.
overall a good product if you want to have speakers you can place anywhere in the house. or have music somewhere wet like the bathroom.
Wireless Outdoor Speakers Audio Unlimited Aug 17, 2010 Bought with an additional speaker, making 3 total for my sister. She hooked up herself easily and loves them. Highly recommended. I have popping on my outdoor speakers that I own, so I did a lot of research before purchasing these for her. My brand of speakers was differnt. I am pleased she does not have that problem.
Audio Unlimited Wireless Speakers Aug 15, 2010 For the price, the Audio Unlimited Wireless Speakers are great. I have a screened in patio where I cannot run speaker wires. I purchased a set of these speakers about a year ago and loved them. I have since purchased my second set. For the price of the speakers, they give very good quality. They run on electric and "C" Cell Batteries. When you have them on battery, they are great at your pool or for a party in your back yard. The remote is good for increasing and decreasing the volume of the speakers, but doesn't want to turn on or off the speakers. Overall, they seem to be a good buy and seem to work very well.
