LOVE this thing! Took a couple of tries, but I got one that worked! Jul 27, 2010
I had to buy two of their alarm clocks in order to get one that worked. The first one's (different model) alarm didn't sound, but I returned it and got this one and it works great! Alarm is not that loud, but it is the most disturbing, shrieking sound I have ever heard. It is so annoying that you HAVE to wake up to turn it off. The vibrator works great too and I'm thinking of using it alone. Just be prepared to maybe have to return one in order to get one that works, but IT'S WORTH IT!

I have a ROUGH time waking up and I was really hoping this clock would be the solution I so desparately need. At first, I was really really excited because sure enough, that little vibrating monster you put between your box spring and top mattress WAKES YOUR BUTT UP! It's very strong and there is no mistaking what is going on when it starts a-buzzin.

I never used the audio options, but believe me when I say they are loud and annoying. My wife was not about to tolerate them on any level. That wasn't a problem for me because the vibrator was plenty enough to get me up.

Unfortunately I've had to give up on this alarm clock because the placement of the snooze button is deplorable, and in my confused "oh no my alarm is buzzing" state I could never find the snooze. It may seem like a minor problem but for me this was a deal breaker. I've moved on to another clock with attached vibrator which I have to put in my pillow because it doesn't buzz like this thing buzzes, but at least its snooze button is easy to slap.

Loved this alarm clock when I first got it. I have had it just under 6 months and the thing has stopped working. The numbers go out and when they come back on the time is wrong. While it worked, it was great woke me and my son up which no other alarm clock can do. Will probably try another one and get a warranty on it in case it quits working.

Works well, vibrates my bed, gets me up in the morning. More customizability would have been nice, but it gets the job done.

The extension cable is a must for me :)

My elderly (88 years young) hearing-impaired mother had purchased 8 different alarm clocks (electrical and mechanical) to awaken her on Sunday mornings so that she could attend church services on time. These were to no avail. I wound up having to call her at 7am (from 1 to 6 times) every Sunday to awaken her. The specifications for the Sonic Boom Alarm Clock sounded ideal with an adjustable alarm volume. I purchased one for her birthday and gave it to her early. I called her the first Sunday at 7:15am to see if the new alarm had awakened her from across the room. Sure enough, she was up and said that nobody could sleep through that screeching sound, but she was happy to have it.
