By P. Stein Comfortable, and opens and closed nicely, but....used it on a job for 4 hours once weekly...lasted 2 months then suddenly semi-collapsed. I didnt land on floor but almost.

not bad Dec 25, 2010
By huntrextreme it works for the intended purpose, but i am not sure on how long it will hold up. it seems like it is getting weaker, but it is being used for a more aggressive purpose than intended probably. not bad for the price though.

Great extra set Mar 04, 2010
By S. James We like this stool because it can be tucked into the coat closet or other out of the way places whe we do not need the extra setting. The stool has a small profile when folded and yet strong enough to give a feel of a full bar stool.

cheap, poor quality - limited use as is Sep 22, 2011
By J. S. Radford After using for just 2 hours, I had to re-build the inadequate cushioning and design and install a new latching mechanism.
The seat metal was already bending and popping in and out a little, with audible popping sounds from flexing metal! I could see the deformation where the support pieces were already pushing info the thin metal seat material.
The cushioning offered very little support and showed long-term compression after minimal use. The latching mechanism wobbled and allowed the seat to tilt up and down about an inch when it should have remained solid and steady.
CHEAP! This seat, though perhaps admittedly worth what it cost, is very cheaply made with very flimsy materials and will not last. Unfortunately, there seem to be no competitive models of same design.
Luckily, after 2 hours, I have been able to remove the padding and do the following to perhaps make the seat usable and more durable:
1 - glued a stiffener to the poster-board quality piece that the cushioning is attached to to greatly increase (MORE than double) the strength of that component and thus counteract the effect of the metal seat base being so flimsy,
2 - add an extra thin layer of cushioning,
3 - remove the cheap latching pin and replace it with a custom-built steel rod latch so that the seat rests steady and firm without the one+ inch wobble the "new" seat started with.
Without making those repairs and redesigns, at my own expense, the seat would be barely worth buying, even at the low cost of $30 or so.

not a good start Mar 04, 2011
By lrgtex This stool came with a cracked cheap plastic end cap on one leg, probably shipped to me that way, not a good start. The cushioned pad is very thin.
